Stakeholders
Role and Purpose
|
Stakeholders are any persons with interest in the program; they contribute to and benefit from the success of the program process. While it is often thought that stakeholders only shape programs in the early stages of planning, stakeholders are often involved throughout the planning process. Stakeholders aid in the identification of program goals, objectives, resources, methods used to deliver the product and outcomes. By being involved in the planning process through the assessment phase of the program, stakeholders help to erase the sense of distrust that often occurs when administrative types are looking into the progress of a project. Stakeholders want to see a positive program outcome and they work to ensure that all facets of the program planning, implementation and assessment produce the best possible results.

Budget
Estimate of Income
In May of 2016, Tutoring Services secured combined endowment of $25,000 from Academic Affairs and the College of Science to support Student Success Initiatives on campus. In addition, the Special Programs annual allocation of funds was transferred into the Tutoring Services Department account in the amount of $35,000.00 in April of 2016. A portion of these funds combined with the Student Success Initiatives endowment will be used to fund the Chemistry Camp Program. The entire program will run entirely off of university generated funds.
If the program is successful (at least 70% of participants pass the Chemistry Placement Exam and are placed into general Chemistry I), the College of Science and the Academic Affairs office has agreed to fund the program, in its entirety, for the next 5 years. |
